Charles "Red" Scott -The Legacy
The quality of one's life absolutely depends upon the degree to which we align ourselves with and feel a sense of Reverence for God - - Our Creator and Father. Service is the virtue that distinguishes the one grade of all times by which we will be remembered. It places a mark of nobility upon its disciples. It is the dividing line which separates the two great groups of the world;
How much better it is to give than to receive! Service in any form is both generous and beautiful. To just give encouragement, to impart sympathy, to show interest, to banish fear, to build self confidence, or simply to awaken some hope in the hearts of others ... NO GREATER SERVICE OR GIFT CAN ONE GIVE!

Charles W. "Chip" Webster, Jr.
President
Vistage Florida
Vistage Florida Charles W. "Chip" Webster, Jr., president and shareholder of Vistage Florida, has more than 35 years experience in business development at both Fortune 500 and start-up companies. In 1987 he became a Group Chair in Tampa and was named president in 2000.
A graduate of Drake University, Webster joined Sears in 1969 and quickly established himself as a top marketing professional with the drive to make things happen. He worked with Walt Disney and Eastern Airlines to develop the first national consumer contest in Sears history, had a leadership role in the 1975 turn-around at the NYSE-traded Sav-A-Stop, Inc. and reorganized the marketing efforts of Roth International, a graphics and design firm that led to $35 million in sales for Sears.
In 1984, he founded Consolidated Directories in Georgia with two partners, which grew to become the top telephone directory (as measured by consumer use) in seven counties. He left the company after a buyout offer was made by Ameritech that his partners refused to accept.
At the time, I thought being a chair would be a great transition between jobs, he says. I've since discovered that I thoroughly enjoy having my fingerprint on the success of companies like Discount Auto Parts, Checkers and Davis Baldwin, even if my name isn't on them.
Over the last 20 years, Webster has worked with a Who's Who of Tampa Bay organizations including Ringhaver Equipment, Tucker/Hall, Aqua Cal, Aidman Piser, First Citrus Bank and Tunstall Consulting. In 1996 and 1997 he was recognized as Chairman of the Year in Florida. In 1999, he was awarded the Don Cope Award -- a prestigious award given to one Chair each year, internationally.
He's an active supporter of Boy Scouts of America, serves on the board of Associated Marine Institutes Foundation and mentors MBA students at the University of Tampa. He has also served on the board of directors of several local private companies and Discount Auto Parts, Inc. (NYSE) until its sale to Advanced Auto Parts. He is also a member of Leadership Florida Class XXVI.
He has lived in the Tampa Bay Area since 1988 with his wife, Julie, and two sons.
